

Ms. Schmelzel hails from Arizona and boasts an impressive golfing journey. Sarah excelled as a collegiate golfer during her four years at the University of South Carolina. She marked her time there with achievements such as SEC All-Freshman Team recognition, an honorable mention as an All-American, and an esteemed 2016 Golfweek All-American award. Playing on the Epson Tour in 2018, she displayed her skills by securing top-10 placements on seven occasions, with a notable third-place finish in the 2018 Q Series. These accomplishments paved the way to obtaining LPGA status for 2019.
As an LPGA golfer, Sarah consistently attains top-30 finishes and notably clinched second place at the 2024 Blue Bay LPGA. In addition, only weeks earlier, Sarah finished tied for eight at the 2024 HSBC Women’s World Championship. Her dedication to elevating her game places Sarah on a promising trajectory toward becoming one of the leading LPGA Tour players. So far in 2024, Sarah’s improved golf game has resulted in 7 top ten finishes. Sarah was also selected as a Captain’s Pick for the the US Women’s 2024 Solheim Team which competed against the 2024 European Solheim Cup team, September 10th – 15th at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, VA. With Sarah’s help, the United States beat Europe for the first time in seven years.
